About

Yes I am a distance runner. Not the kind that runs streaks, owns a lycra onesie or does plyometric warm ups in the middle of street. You know, the slow kind. This is a blog of my mistakes, stumblings and cock-ups on my journey from size 20 to marathon runner…..sort of. Follow in my footsteps at your peril!

When I started running I was a size 20 food services manager. Three years later I’m 5 stone lighter, have a sports qualification and am working as a sports massage therapist. I’ve tackled every distance up to the marathon and made plenty of mistakes on the way. This blog is a chronicle of some of my more epic blunders, discoveries and academic knowledge in basic terms turns so any newbies out there can miss some of the potholes I stumbled into!
